[ Vigilantism opens up a vast and unpredictable world to everybody who dares to get involved with it. No one knows who they'll meet, where they'll go, what exactly they'll have to do.
Cisco is one of the nicer people Laurel's met since she opened that door. She may not know him from Adam, but she has a good feeling about him. Smart, resourceful, good person. He got a better shot at her good books than most early on.
So one can imagine the shame filtering into the walk-in freezer they've been abandoned in for Nebulous Crimefighting Reasons. It's not that she wanted to prove herself to him in so many words. But honestly, the number of people who had a simple, undeniably positive reaction to finding out she's the Black Canary is a low one. Even if it wouldn't impact her desire to be out there fighting for justice, the desire not to go from "awesome" to "disappointment" is only human. And giant freezers are as insulting as they are cliched.
At least they just have to hold out until the team takes care of business and sweeps the block looking for them. In the meantime, she's learned that failing to kick doors open is incredibly defeating. ]

[Working with Barry as part of Team Flash has landed Cisco in a number of situations, equal parts crazy and dangerous. It's just part of the whole vigilantism spectrum. Things were never boring, always interesting, and interesting was often spelled D-A-N-G-E-R.
And sometimes it also meant getting stuck in precarious situations. Like a giant freezer. With the Black Canary. Well, there's some positives and negatives, here, but to say he's less than thrilled about it is an understatement.]
I would believe that. Because you are a badass. But every badass has an off day. [A beat.] And just so you know, this in no way wrecks your normal levels of baddassery.
